Alzheimer’s is one of the most gut wrenching diseases to watch a loved one go through. To be a caretaker is something not everyone can understand. My Grammy sufferered through this awful neurological disease. At 14, I was helping feed my grandmother while so many got to go out and create memories of shopping and such with theirs. At 16, I said goodbye to her.
