Memorial Day has come and gone. This does not mean that we lose sight of at times through the year taking a moment of silence, thinking of those that lost their lives for your Freedom. Those who may have not past away in active duty but, spent their lives in service. Also, think of their families and brothers in service that are also dealing with the loss. They deserve the respect and honor.
If you live near a National Cemetery, I encourage you to go and see the thousands of sites of laid to rest servicemen and reflect. It truly is a breathtaking experience to go and honor those that gave their lives for you and they did not even know you. The least we can do is go and show respect back to them.
Coming from a Military family, it was just normal for me to see people want to serve. My big brother went off to the Navy when I was in elementary. My Daddy was a Marine. My Grandfathers both served in the Navy and Army.
This is my brother’s flag that he earned for his years of his service after he passed away. It was nice to see fellow Navy servicemen honoring a Navy Vet, sad it was for my big brother.
